San Churro opens first Ballarat store on Friday
San Churro opens its first Ballarat location on Friday after years of community requests.
The cafe opens at Norwich Plaza in Bridge Mall on Friday and holds a three-hour grand opening on Saturday, October 17. The store is set to trade seven days a week, from 9am to 10pm to begin with, and employ up to 25 people once fully staffed.
Franchisee Kawal Singh said San Churro had been searching for the right location for years and finally found it. The Ballarat store will trial a soft-serve station not available at all other locations.
Since opening in Melbourne in 2006, the chain has grown to more than 65 stores across Australia. Locals have been requesting a Ballarat outlet for years; the company has listened.
